Cultural Anthropology Program
The Anthropology Program at Texas A&M University offers students training in cultural anthropology, the comparative study of human behavior, culture and society found throughout the world. Cultural anthropologists at Texas A&M draw on a wide range of theoretical perspectives and methodological techniques. They are united in the use of an interdisciplinary, comparative approach in their anthropological research of culture. Affiliated Faculty Members. Faculty members in the Cultural Anthropology Program coordinate the Cultural Anthropology Program within the Department of Anthropology. There are eight faculty members with primary affiliation in the Cultural Anthropology Program: Michael Alvard, Sara Busdiecker, Nicole Castor, Norbert Dannhaeuser, Tom Green, Neha Vora, Cynthia Werner, and Jeff Winking. One faculty member at Texas A&M has affiliated status with the Cultural Anthropology Program: Amanda Stronza (Recreation, Parks & Tourism Sciences; Adjunct in Anthropology). Program Strengths.
