Samuel Koepnick is currently enrolled in the Nautical Archaeology Program at Texas A&M and is pursuing his MA. His interests focus on the integration of computer information technologies and archaeology, the use of 3-Dimensional modeling and scanning in the conservation process, and Bronze Age seafaring. His computer science background includes work in varied projects such as the Human Genome Project and SETI. His archaeological fieldwork covers both excavation and survey in sites ranging from Old Kingdom Egyptian land sites to early 20th century steamships in the Yukon.
