| Course Description:
This class is designed as a graduate level survey
of the field of Physical Anthropology. including some
evolutionary theory, human diversity, human evolution, and
bioarchaeology. Despite its title, this course is not
intended to be a survey of human evolution, rather, "evolutionary"
here refers to the unifying theme of biology, which necessarily
lies at the core of anthropological investigations of human
biology, both past and present. After completing the
class, it is expected that students would be capable of teaching
a segment on physical anthropology in an introductory 4-field
anthropology course.

seminars, a lecture notes project, 2 exams, final exam. This
course includes a lab. Class will be structured as a combination
