Field Trips
Field Trips include a tour of the Astin Gallery, Discovery Room Program with live animals, and depending upon group size, other stations and programs are available. Program length is determined by the age and number or participants. For groups of 40 or larger, Museum visitors will be divided into subgroups of 20-30 for an optimal learning experience. When visiting the Museum, each group will be rotated through a series of programs, keeping all students occupied.
Registration
Reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance by calling the Museum at (979) 776-2195. Programs are offered from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday during the academic school year. Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. Please be on time, and schedule well in advance.
Supervision
School classes and groups of children must be accompanied by adults who are responsible for the group's conduct. At least one adult per group of 15-20 students is required. The Museum reserves the right to remove disruptive students from the premises.
School Buses
When visiting the Museum, school buses should unload children at the entrance of the Museum and then park in the parking lot. Museum personnel will great you at the front of the Museum.
Facilities
Bathrooms and water fountains are available in the Brazos Center. There is a picnic area in the park and reservations for its use must be made at the Brazos Center Office. Phone: (979) 776-8338.
